What is Precisé™
A new type of SMS nonwoven fabric made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) that offers various grades, including regular, heat-sealable, and super-flat. Its tri-layer design, with an ultrafine melt-blown middle layer sandwiched between spunbond fabric layers, delivers excellent filtration efficiency, sound absorption, and high uniformity.

Asahi Kasei has a wealth of technology and expertise in the spunbond nonwoven fabric industry, and Precisé™ has a niche because of the way its PET fibers react with their surrounding environment. The key technology is the melt-blown PET fine fibers in the middle of regular spunbonded PET fibers, making it the only PET-based SMS fabric in the world. The fine fibers in the middle are unique in their filtration and absorption properties for tangibles like liquids or fine grains for container bags and intangibles such as energy from sound vibrations for automotive purposes. This structure also provides excellent resistance to UV rays and maintains a stable shrinkage ratio over the material's service life.
