What is EltasTM
EltasTM is a versatile fray resistant spunbond nonwoven material available in Nylon, Polyester, and Polypropylene. All three materials feature binder-free and long fiber webs, and are available in ultra-thin low-weight grades. These spunbond binder free nonwoven fabrics feature impressive filament evenness, air permeability, and edge fray resistance.
EltasTM is produced using the spunbond process. This includes heating and melting synthetic resins (polymer fibers) through a fine hole extruder in spinnerets, then it is drawn into continuous filaments. Next, webs of evenly distributed filaments are bonded by thermocompression with the embossing roll to form a bonded sheet.
Why use Eltas™ Long Fiber Nonwoven Spunbond Material
Our diverse lineup of high-performance grades highlights a wide range of features and characteristics to meet your business’s needs.
The processability of EltasTM has allowed us to develop a unique line of products. Our EltasTM Performance series includes the following:
- Eltas™ Aqua is a water-permeable nonwoven material that is superior in instantaneous and repeated water permeability. The even filament distribution gives the material higher strength than staple fiber nonwovens.
- Eltas™ Fine material provides a soft texture due to its ultrafine filament nonwoven. The use of ultrafine filaments enables customers to use a thinner fabric.
- Eltas™ Crimp features our bulky nonwoven made of crimped filament. This material is made using crimped and modified cross-section filaments. Having large openings between filaments provides high bulk.
- Eltas™ Master is our high uniformity nonwoven material. It features high uniformity and fineness even in thin fabrics.
- Eltas™ Flat is produced using special flat cross-section filaments that allow for a smooth thin material.
- Eltas™ Flex is our stretch nonwoven material. The material is extremely extensible and features excellent processability.
- Eltas™ FR is our flame retardant spunbond nonwoven material. The phosphorus-based flame retardant is blended into filaments, giving the material a longer-lasting flame-retardant performance.
