What is LASTANTM
LASTAN™ is made from fire-retardant special acrylic fibers. LASTAN™ fabrics have a limiting oxygen index rating (“LOI”) of approximately 50-60, giving the material above standard ratings. LASTAN™ has also attained the highest rating obtainable by UL94 Standards of 5VA.

Why Use LASTANTM
LASTAN™ provides excellent dimensional stability by maintaining its original shape without burning, melting, or shrinking. LASTAN™ organic material provides a soft touch and wool-like texture while keeping excellent flame resistance. LASTAN™ materials are offered in spun lace, needle punch, and woven grades. Certified in A-type and C-type.
Superior Flame Resistence
One unique property of LASTAN™ is its high Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI). Fabrics with an LOI of 26.5% or higher are said to be self-extinguishing, and fabrics with an LOI higher than that are considered flame-resistant fabrics.* LASTAN™ has an LOI significantly higher than standard materials. *Viewpoints on this index may vary.
LASTAN™ has obtained the highest rating from the UL94 Standards of 5VA, indicating flame resistance of materials. It is the most suitable base fabric and surface material for high-performance functional materials that must meet various flameproof and fire-retardant standards.

Heat Resistance
LASTAN™ is highly heat-resistant to retain its original shape without burning, melting, and shrinking even when it comes into contact with fire.

Welding and Industrial
Helps prevent fires from spreading caused by short circuits of electrical wires. Helps to prevent spark bleed in welding and molten metal processes.
Home Appliance
