What is ECORISE™
ECORISE™ bio-based spunbond nonwoven material was developed using the most sustainable resources available made from polylactic acid (PLA). ECORISE™ is an environmentally friendly plant-based material that is biodegradable and compostable. This product is certified 100% compostable in industrial conditions by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and TUV Austria.
Why use ECORISE™
ECORISETM is created from plant-based resin, giving it outstanding biodegradable and compostable binder properties. Available in various fabric weight options, this biodegradable material offers excellent moisture permeability along with structural integrity.
Biodegradability
ECORISETM has obtained biodegradable plastics certification from TUV Austria. This verifies that the compost can decompose in municipal landfills and is safe for the environment by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions
Additionally, ECORISETM has obtained compostable certification under the Biodegradability Products Institute (BPI) and passed the ASTM-D6400 industrial compostable product test, making it a BPI-certified nonwoven material.
Plant-Based
The main material used in ECORISETM is plant-based plastic. Using plant-based materials can save valuable oil resources without increasing carbon dioxide emissions, helping lessen the burden on the environment. This allows for the manufacturing of products that contribute to a circulator society.
Food Safety
The binder-free nonwoven spunbond material used in ECORISETM is compliant with the food contact material standards set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making it safe for children and adults.
